Sunday Worship

"and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" Ephesians 6:17

For us swords are relics, curiosities, or props from old stories. The last piece of armor God gives his people is a sword, and it’s no relic. This Sunday we look at the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Our enemy is powerful, and he’s close. God hasn’t sent us out with untested equipment. Christ carried this sword first and won with it, and now he puts it in our hands. Watch what happens when a Christian stands armed with it. Temptation is answered with truth. Our hearts are searched and healed. And our mouths open to share the good news.

I hope you'll join us as we worship together this Sunday.
